Meeting the needs of the “whole child” socially, emotionally and academically permeates Oster and the parent community. The structuring of Oster into grade level teams which utilize interdisciplinary instruction between teachers provides the backdrop for developing this common vision. Intensive review of current research shows that the interdisciplinary teaming structure offers a highly effective way of organizing the school in terms of curriculum, instruction, and resources, both human and material. This vision is formally evaluated yearly to assure that goals are being met and that the needs of our diverse population are being served.
