  1. Roles and Responsibilities

Mrs. Taormina reviewed and discussed the roles for site council.  The following positions were assigned:

  1.  Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP)

Mrs. Taormina shared Governor Newsom signed Senate Bill 98 (SB 98) into law. SB 98  mandates the creation of a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP) in lieu of the 2020-21 Local Control Accountability Plan which was originally required by the Governor’s Executive Order.

  1. School Plan for Student Achievement: 2019-20

Mrs. Taormina reviewed the SPSA academic goals for the 2019/20 school year (see plan for ELA and Math goals).

Mrs. Taormina shared that due to COVID there is no data for the 19/20 school year therefore the school will  continue to focus on the same goals for the 20/21 school year closing the achievement gap while raising the achievement of all students.

  1. Comprehensive School Safety Plan: 2019-20 and 2020-21

Mrs. Taormina reviewed the CSSP goals for the 2019/20 school year and proposed the following CSSP goals for the 2020/21 school year to align with district’s focus of reopening schools:

  • As Oster implements all stages of reopening schools, we will continually revisit our Union School District Re-Opening plan and follow all guidance and procedures provided by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department.

  • Oster will provide support to families to ensure that students are attending classes and are engaged during in-person and distance learning.

  1. Future Meeting Date: January 12 @ 2:45 and February 9th @ 2:45
